Mirtul 1374 DR, The Year of Lightning Storms
Following the Return of the Archwizards, the Kingdom of Cormyr finds itself ravaged by the last war: King Azoun IV is dead, the once flourishing city of Tilverton lies into ashes and the ranks of the army are quite diminished. Cormyr left the war shaken, but its political and military prowess is still undisputed. However, Regent Alusair Obarskyr knows they won't be able to sustain another war...

The campaign begins in the small village of Thyvington, situated nearly fifty miles east of the ruins of Tilverton. While being economically insignifiant, the Lonely Maiden Tavern&Inn in Thyvington is the only decent lodge a few miles around, so travelers visit this place quite often. Besides, it's a peaceful village with no known threats around, so it's a valuable resting place for every adventurer tired sick of hack&treasure.
